Walter Brenner

Walter Brenner has been Professor of Business Information Technology at the University of St. Gallen and Executive Director of its Institute of Business Information Technology since 2001. Before this, he held professorships at the University of Essen and the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. He has gained experience in practice as Head of Application Development at Alusuisse-Lonza AG in Basle.

In his research, he focuses on the industrialisation of information management, industrial services, commercial information systems and digital consumer business. In addition to his academic activities at the University of St. Gallen, he acts as a business consultant for information management and digitalisation. He has already produced numerous publications in his field.
