Rainer Janßen started his professional career at the IBM research and development centre in Heidelberg. There, he initially focused on scientific computing projects and established the Institut für Supercomputing und angewandte Mathematik (Institute of Supercomputing and Applied Mathematics). A few years later, he was promoted to Director of the European Networking Center. Following this, he moved to the user side, taking charge of global IT at Munich Re as a CIO. In this post, he played a major role on the German CIO scene. For this, Computerwoche magazine and CIO Magazin voted him “CIO of the Year” in 2008.
As Senior Advisor, he actively accompanies the development of ACENT, supports us with his extensive network and assists us in our projects with his wealth of experience.
